Adams, John Stowell (1823-1893)

Vida

A. Leavitt, Nueva York, 1847), un álbum descriptivo de la flora compuesto por rimas propias y de otros autores, The Floral Wreath (1851), The Seasons (1853), The Boston Temperance Glee Book (1851) y The Psalms of Life (1857). Por otro lado, John Stowell Adams escribió obras narrativas destinadas a la lectura tanto en el hogar, como en los viajes: Half-hour stories of choice reading for home and travel (G. W. Cottrell, Boston, 1854) que aparecería un año después reimpreso bajo el título de Town and country or life at home and abroad, without and within us. (J. Buffum, Boston, 1855). A rivulet from the ocean of truth, an authentic and interesting narrative of the advancement of a spirit from darkness to light. Proving, by an actual instance, the influence of man, on earth, over the departed (B. Marsh, Boston, 1854), A letter to the Chestnut St. Congregational church, Chelsea, Mass., in reply to its charge of having become a reproach to the cause of truth, in consequence of a change of religious belief (B. Marsh, Boston, 1854) y Answers to seventeen objections against spiritual intercourse and inquiries relating to the manifestations of the present time (Fowler and Wells, Nueva York, 1853).
